During 2021, Bajaj had opened bookings for Chetak Electric in 8 cities.
Later on, the figure has increased to 12 cities including- Coimbatore, Madurai, Kochi, Kozhikode, Hubli, Visakhapatnam, Nashik, Vasai, Surat, Delhi, Mumbai, and Mapusa in 2022.
It seems that the scooter manufacturer is rapidly expanding the electric scooter network in India.
So far, Delhi and Mumbai are the biggest market for electric scooters in the country.

Basically, Chetak Electric is an all metal body scooter.
The Bajaj’s Electric scooter is offered in two variants including Urbane and Premium.
Chetak Electric is powered by a 3.8 kW electric motor that produces 5 bhp and 16.2 Nm of peak torque.
The electric scooter comes with a 3 kWh IP67 lithium-ion battery pack that allows for a range of 95 km (in Eco mode) on a single charge, with a top speed of 70 kmph.
Further, Chetak can be fully charged in about 6 to 8 hours.
