CAT, a U.S. based company well known for its heavy duty machine has just built another rugged machine but this time in form of a Smartphone. With MWC round the corner, CAT’s latest offering ‘S60’ is the world’s first Smartphone to be integrated with a thermal camera an also the most advanced waterproof Smartphone, reports Andriodcentral.

Mostly we’ve seen thermal camera offered to people in services but CAT has just gone an extra mile by integrating it into Smartphones and offering it to the common man.  Well that’s not it; S60 goes beyond casual Smartphone toughness as it features a strengthened die cast steel frame inside and a Gorilla Glass 4 display that can easily survive a drop onto hard surface.

Here’s A Roundup Of All The Features The Smartphones Houses

S60 Features

4.7″ HD Capacitive Multi-Touch with Auto Wet Finger & Glove Support

Snapdragon 617 Octa-Core Processor

32GB ROM, 3GB RAM

Underwater 13MP Main Camera with Dual Flash, 5MP Front-Facing Camera

4G LTE

Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Bluetooth, NFC, FM Radio Tuner, Barometer & Altimeter Sensors

Optimised Battery Performance (3800mah)

Strengthened Die Cast Frame

Drop Proof to 1.8m, MIL Spec 810G

Super Bright Display (Typical 540 Nits), Gorilla Glass 4

High Quality Audio Experience (105db)

Besides these, what makes the phone standout is FLIR’s thermal camera and its waterproof prowess. By flipping few switches on the front of the device, the phone seals off its speaker, headphone port, and microphone openings, which can make it function underwater for about an hour, isn’t that cool!

Well rather than pitting against top phones like the iPhone 6s and Samsung Galaxy S6, we would rather think about the release date as it is most envious gadget to have in your hands. With that said, the S60 will make its debut in the upcoming MWC and it’s rumored to be priced at a whopping $599.
