Investor Praesidium asks Progress Software chairman to step down
(Reuters) – Activist investor Praesidium Investment Management on Friday urged Progress Software Corp’s chairman, Jack Egan, to resign, and questioned the software maker’s acquisition strategy. Praesidium, which also trimmed its stake in Progress Software to 8.8 percent from 9.05 percent, raised concerns about the company’s current performance.
Adobe’s board elects Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen as Chairman
Adobe today announced that its Board of Directors has elected Shantanu Narayen as Chairman of the Board. Narayen will continue in his role as President and CEO of Adobe and succeeds Co-Chairs and Co-Founders of the company, John Warnockand Chuck Geschke, who will remain on the Board.
