Google serves a 'Nougat' to fans of its Android software

Google is serving a new morsel for enthusiasts of its Android software: The next version has been dubbed “Nougat,” extending Google’s tradition of nicknaming every overhaul of Android after a sweet meals.

The Nougat name announced Thursday comes seven weeks after Google sought guidelines during its annual conference for software program engineers.

Nougat is scheduled to be launched in new smartphones this autumn while the makers of present Android gadgets will also be able to allow updates to the brand new software. Nougat’s new capabilities will consist of the capacity to run apps with out really installing them on a tool.
